Motorola Moto X seemed to be the phone that really caught people’s attention when announced in the beginning of August. The different color options (Moto Maker), the different designs are a few things that really set it apart from other smartphones in the market right now. Released just last month, it seems like users are not taking the Moto X into consideration, and the reason is because of the price tag.
According to a new tweet from evleaks, who has a good track record, state that Motorola will cut the price tag of the Moto X from $199 to $99 with a 2-year contract in Q4 of 2013. The Moto X ever since the release took heavy criticism due to the fact that the hardware inside the phone is mid-range, while the price tag of the smartphone is set near the high end phones.
The Moto X features a Dual-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 4.7-inch 1280×720 pixels AMOLED display, 2 GB RAM, 2 option storage of 16 GB of 32 GB with no microSD expandable option, Qualcomm Adreno 320 GPU, NFC and 10 MP rear camera. The Moto X to my knowledge is the first and only smartphone that is Designed and Assembled in USA. Another thing evleaks states that Motorola will release three variations of the Moto X in the near future that have “wood”-style rear panels.
