Report: James Harden teases Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and it’s coming this year

For those in doubt, this year’s game will indeed be called Black Ops 4, according to report from Kotaku. Black Ops creator Treyarch is confirmed as the developer behind the upcoming Call of Duty game, but Activision has yet to formally announce the game.

It appears we have some more evidence this year’s title is Black Ops 4. NBA superstar James Harden wore what looks to be a Black Ops 4 hat last night as he walked into his team’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In addition, James was wearing a cameo outfit.

According to Kotaku, two sources told them that Black Ops 4 is coming from Treyarch this year, and will take place in the near future. A source speaking to Kotaku added that Harden’s hat is indeed the logo for Black Ops 4 game. It doesn’t appear that the game will use the Roman number for 4 (IV).

Historically speaking though, Activision, the publisher behind Call of Duty, doesn’t announce games until April or May, but given that Harden is already teasing the game, the timeline for the game’s reveal may have been moved up. Only time will tell.
