12:45 PM – You know the stitched leather you found on your Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1? It’s quite a nice look I must admit. Many customers have grown fond of the leather touch on the Galaxy Note, especially in video reviews we have seen around the internet. Well it looks like it may soon come to laptops, according to a new report from The Verge.
A new rumor going around suggests that an ATIV Book 9 style laptop will debut with this same faux-leather styling. The ATIV Book 9 leather-crafted lid was pictured in the Korean site Seeko, posted by an individual with the name Jamproject. The individual attended a local Samsung S Acadamy event, which is where he found the laptop with this new design.
There were no specific details about the laptop, however what we do know is that it will come with four 2W speakers. It is also expected to launch with Windows 8.1 right out of the box.
We can’t confirm that the photo is legitimate or perhaps is just a skin on top of the lid, however the picture does look convincing. The stitched leather look on laptops wouldn’t be so bad. It would be much more comfortable to carry around, that’s for sure. Currently, the exterior hard shell of laptop can be a pain at times to carry. Perhaps this may offer laptops some more protection. It will definitely be a good selling point for companies, that’s for sure.
We may definitely see this in the upcoming CES in January and Mobile World Congress in February.
