Straight Talk and NET10 Wireless getting the iPhone 5s/5c this Friday

12:30 PM – Apple is still rolling out the iPhone 5s and 5c to carriers.  China Mobile is expected to start taking pre-orders for the new iPhones this coming Thursday.  Now, more good news is that no-contract wireless service providers Straight Talk and NET10 Wireless are getting the iPhone 5s and 5c this coming Friday, according to a media release.

Through Walmart, customers can pick up an iPhone 5s or 5c of their choice on either provide.  The devices can be picked up at full price or subsidized.  If you plan to pick up the device for full price, expect to pay the $549/$649 for entry level iPhones on each model.  The no-contract plans for individuals and families start at just $45 per month for unlimited voice calls, text messages and 2.5GB of high-speed data.

If you purchase an iPhone from Walmart before December 31 and plan to finance it, you can apply for the Walmart Credit Card and get the hardware for interest-free.  You must pay off the balance and must make the minimum payment in order to keep it interest-free.

Remember that after 2.5GB use on Straight Talk and NET10 Wireless, you will start getting throttled at slower speeds.  The “unlimited” isn’t truly unlimited, and just a scheme to lure customers.  Nonetheless, they are good networks to use as their speeds are decent.
