Xbox One to require payment for some key features

ps4-vs-xbox-one

Microsoft recently got over a major backlash they suffered due to restrictions they imposed on the Xbox One.  However, there are several other key features of the system that Microsoft will still require users to pay for.  On the flip side, Xbox One’s competitor, the PS4 will offer the features for free.

According to a recent discovery by Ars Technica, users will have to pay $60 per year for the Xbox Live Gold subscription.  The features included in the subscription that users will have to pay for are game DVR, OneGuide, and Skype video calling.  While Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that PS4’s recording and sharing features will be provided for free and will not require a PlayStation Plus account.

Microsoft is recovering from a recent disaster and if this gets blown out of proportion, the company could see another Public Relations disaster.
